CANODROS S.A. is proud to announce the acquisition of the vessel Renaissance III from the Renaissance Cruise Lines. Our new ship will be christened M/V GALAPAGOS EXPLORER II, and will commence service in February of 1998.
The M/V Galapagos Explorer II is a 293.14 feet ocean-going cruise ship. Navigation the Galapagos Islands at a speed of 17 knots, the Explorer II enables passengers to see more of Galapagos in less time. The ship also provides all the facilities and services to make the cruises enjoyable and comfortable.
The ship has capacity for 105 passengers due to the National Park regulations, it only carries 100 passengers. It has 53 air conditioned outside Suites, each one with private bathroom and a small sitting area. Features aboard include swimming pool, solarium, spacious dining room, an electronic elevator, large conference room, lounge, three bar areas with music, Boutique and reading room. Six naturalist guides aboard lead daily shore excursions and offer nightly briefings to prepare passengers for the islands to be visited the next day. Dining aboard consist of both international and Ecuadorian specialties The cruises depart form San Cristobal Island on Wednesday and Saturday. The different tours available includes: Cruise "A" 3 Nights / 4 Days, Wednesday to Saturday Cruise "B" 4 Nights/ 5 Days, Saturday to Wednesday Cruise "C" 7 Nights/ 8 Days, Saturday to Saturday or Wednesday to Wednesday
Boutique and Gift Shop: Offers native souvenirs, books, sports clothing, sundry items, and personal items. Library: Offers a wide variety of books and new release videos, which can be viewed on your Suite VCR. Piano Lounge: Provides a quiet spot for enjoying cocktails and meeting friends before and after dinner. Swimming Pool: Is filled with sea and regular water when weather and sea conditions allow. Hospital: There is doctor on board to handle minor illness and mishaps. Electricity: Electric current aboard is 220 volts and 110 volts. If your electric appliances require an adapter, it can be obtained from the Purser's Office. RadioTelephone: The telephone in your cabin may be used to make or receive satellite telephone calls all over the world. Additionally, facsimiles and e-mail messages can be sent at established charges while at sea.
