Notes for Galapagos entry:  When entering the Galapagos, travelers can show the same international certificate used to enter Ecuador, as long as it has 72 hours validity, or one from an authorized Ecuadorian laboratory.  Please get in touch with your Destination Expert for assistance.

Travelers from Africa

Entry to Ecuador is prohibited for travelers who started their journeys in or transited through the following countries: South Africa, Botswana, Egypt, Mozambique, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Eswatini (Swaziland) and Namibia.

The CDC requires all passengers who board international flights to the US to show a negative covid test within 3 days of boarding the flight.  There are now verified labs for Covid testing open at BOTH of the Ecuadorian international airports (in Quito and Guayaquil) for ANTIGEN testing.  In Quito a lab called VIP Medical and is open 24/7.  In Guayaquil a lab called VERIS and is open daily from 3:30PM to 11:00PM.  The cost of the test is $40 and results are sent electronically within 30 minutes.  Both cash or credit cards are accepted.
