Covid Protocols as of Feb 11, 2022

All travelers 3 years of age and older entering Ecuador or the Galapagos Islands must present a complete COVID-19 vaccination card with at least 14 days validity.

Unvaccinated travelers will not be able to enter either Ecuador or the Galapagos Islands.

Children 2 and under must present a negative PCR test OR a negative Antigen test result taken up to 72 hours prior to departure to Ecuador or Galapagos.

All travelers must present the Traveler's Health Declaration upon arriving in Ecuador. You can fill out and print a copy before you leave home at this website

When entering the Galapagos travelers must show the same international certificate used to enter Ecuador (i.e. your vaccination card).

The CDC requires all passengers who board international flights to the US to show a negative Covid test within 24 hours of boarding the flight.  There are now verified labs for Covid testing open at BOTH of the Ecuadorian international airports (in Quito and Guayaquil) for ANTIGEN testing.  In Quito a lab called VIP Medical and is open 24/7.  In Guayaquil a lab called VERIS and is open daily from 3:30PM to 11:00PM.  The cost of the test is $40 and results are sent electronically within 30 minutes.  Both cash or credit cards are accepted.

Keep in mind that Ecuador has changed their Covid protocols numbers times in the past year based on what is happening at the time with the virus, Covid protocol could change between now and your travel date.
